Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Measure 1/2 cup gelatin mixture, add 1/2
cup cold water and chill until thickened. Blend ice cream and cinnamon into
remaining gelatin and chill until slightly thickened. Melt candies in 1/2
cup water over low heat. Add apples. Simmer 8 minutes, turning several
times. Drain. Cool. Arrange apples on ice cream-gelatin mixture. Top with
remaining gelatin. Chill until firm.
