Vanilla Evaporated Ice Milk

Ingredients:
- ICE CREAM COOKBOOK-----
- 3 qt Evaporated milk (6 cans)
- 3 tb Vanilla
- 2 ts Salt
- 3 c Sugar
Instructions:
Dissolve the sugar in 2 quarts of milk and heat almost to the boiling
point. Remove from heat. Chill, add remaining ingredients and freeze.
This is an inexpensive base for a strongly flavored ice cream such as
chocolate.
