Preheat oven to 300. Cut chicken breasts in half crosswise, making 4
serving pieces. In heavy skillet, brown chicken in shortening until golden.
Add remaining ingredients. Cover tightly. Bake about 2 hours or until
tender. Just before serving, remove chicken from skillet while making pan
gravy. Serve with rice. Serves 4.

3 tb Shortening
1/3 c Chopped onion
1 Clove (small) garlic; minced
3/4 c Chicken broth
3/4 c Cream
1 1/2 ts Salt
1/8 ts Pepper
2 ts Worcestershire sauce
