Date Meringue Pie

Ingredients:
- 1 c Vanilla wafer crumbs
- 1 ts Baking powder
- 1/4 ts Salt
- 3 Egg whites; stiffly beaten
- 1 c Sugar
- 1 c Chopped dates
- 1/2 c Chopped pecans
- 1 ts Vanilla
- 1 c Cream; whipped
Instructions:
Combine crumbs, baking powder and salt. Fold sugar into egg whites. Fold
crumb mixture, dates, nuts and vanilla into whites. Pour into greased
9-inch pie pan. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Serve with generous dollops
of whipped cream.
