Ingredients:

3 c Sifted all-purpose flour
1 1/2 ts Arm & Hammer Brand Baking
-Soda
3/4 ts Salt
1/3 c Sugar
1/3 c Shortening
1/4 c Lukewarm water
1 Cake compressed yeast -or-
1 pk Dry granulated yeast
6 tb Vinegar (white or cider)
Plus enough sweet milk to
-make 3/4 cup liquid
