Sift together dry ingredients, add milk, egg, and syrup. Mix only until dry
ingredients are moistened. Stir in nuts. Pour into well greased loaf pan.
Let stand 20 minutes. Bake 1 hour at 350 F.

1 c Sugar
3 ts Baking powder
1/2 ts Salt
1 Egg, well beaten
1 c Milk
3/4 ts Maple syrup
1 c Chopped nuts
